ENGLISH

English is a West Germanic language that originated in England. It is the third-most-common native language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. English has the status of a lingua franca (a language of communication in multilingual areas) in numerous parts of the world thanks to the key military, economic, political and scientific influence of the United Kingdom in the 18th and 19th century and the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.

English is also used as the main language of communication in various areas, such as computer technology or geography. The most common language to be translated from into other languages is none other than English.

It is the most widely studied second language. At the same time, it is a language which basics are quite easy to acquire, but the more you study it, the more you realize how incredibly difficult it is and that it is almost impossible to have a perfect command of it.

In my lessons, I try to give my students an idea about British and American English, to point out interesting things and to get to the level of common communication as fast as possible.
